As part of our latest Science Topic Year 2 were lucky enough to have a visit from Zoo Lab, the zoo came to St Paul's
Here you can see how much fun and learning took place in Year 2 when Zoo Lab visited in Autumn 1.
English - Summer 1
In English we will be looking at poetry and our language choices. We will be focussing on all of the Year 2 grammar skills, in particular using the past tense correctly, apostrophes in contracted form (I’m, don’t) and using an apostrophe in the correct place for possession (Luke’s bag).
Maths -Summer 1
In Maths, we are revisiting the four operations and working on our mental fluency. Please remember to practise the 2x, 3x, 5x and 10x table at home.
RE - Summer 1
This term the children will be looking at the unit about Easter. Further detail is provided for the account of the empty tomb. Thomas is introduced to help pupils understand that not all people responded to the resurrection of Jesus in the same way. The accounts are found in the Gospels. Detail is provided for the symbolism of Easter.
Topic Summer 1
We are exploring the lives of significant individuals in the past who have contributed to national and international achievements. The first men into space are some of the individuals we will be learning about along with Mary Anning and Christopher Columbus.
We will keep you posted with any updates.
The year 2 Team.
