Dear Parents/Carers,


This half term our topic is ‘Time Travellers and our text is ‘The Man on the Moon’.


We will be learning to:


Recall events from beyond living memory that are significant nationally or globally

Recall lives of significant individuals in the past who have contributed to national and international achievements.

Use technology purposefully to create, organise, store, manipulate and retrieve digital content.

Recognise common uses of technology beyond school.

Explore and compare the differences between things that are living, dead, and things that have never been alive.

Identify that most living things live in habitats to which they are suited and describe how different habitats provided for the basic needs of different kinds of animals and plants, and how they depend on each other.

Identify and name a variety of plants and animals in their habitats, including micro-habitats.

Describe how animals obtain their food from plants and other animals, using the idea of a simple food chain, and identify and name different sources of food.

2.         List poem- six ways to look at the moon

3.         Fact files on Neil Armstrong, Bob (main character)

4.         Write persuasive letters to Tim Peake and persuade him to visit our school

Exciting Opportunities- more information to follow:

We will be experience a Planetarium visit from Winchester Science Museum on Tuesday 5th December.

We will also be exploring a space artefact box from the Novium Museum in Chichester.
