Breakfast club
Breakfast Club
.
St Paul's provides a Breakfast Club which allows for parents to drop off their children for breakfast any day of the school week, ensuring that they are on time for school in the mornings as well as allowing parents to get to their place of work/appointments on time. Our Breakfast Club is run by a group of dedicated staff who attend school early each morning to prepare and receives our early comers.
The aim of Breakfast Club is to provide a positive and settled start to the day for all children through providing a wide range of activities, incorporating learning and social development.
Activities include:
- Computing
- Opportunities for support with homework
- Outdoor physical activities
- A range of art and craft activities
- Puzzle-solving eg. jigsaws and Jenga
- Board games
The aim of the club is to be informal and friendly, allowing children a choice as to how they start the day; some children like to wake up slowly, others prefer to get on and play.
Each morning a nutritious breakfast is provided. The children are encouraged to sit down and talk together, and then clear up their dishes; the idea is that our breakfast replicates as far as possible the atmosphere of a family meal. At the end of the session, the children are well fed, happy and ready to learn.
We provide a variety of foods including, cereal, toast and bagels to get the children's learning off to a good start in the morning.
We are open every weekday during term time, excluding inset days from 7.30am to 8.30am.
Your child(ren) can be dropped off at any time between these times. Children enter Breakfast Club via the main office where they are signed in.
Breakfast Club costs £2.50 per session, which includes a choice of breakfast and activities.
The cost remains the same regardless of the time that your child arrives, or whether or not he or she has breakfast.
All children are offered a bagel or piece of toast as they enter the school each morning.
We are supported by Magic Breakfast a wonderful charity who support schools Breakfast Clubs.
