English field trip to Staunton farm.

In the context of our English and Guided Reading, today we visited Staunton farm. In fact, we are reading Charlotte’s web, and we have been writing persuasive texts about choices that farmers have to take (e.g. killing or not runts, free-range and organic farming v intensive). Furthermore, our PSHE curriculum revolved around sustainability and care for the environment. How is this managed in a farm? Our visit, led by Abbie from the farm, gave us the opportunity to learn more about organic and sustainable farming and the joys and challenges of this work.
